Nigeria's Super Eagles coach invites 26 players to play Chad

Xinhua, May 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi has invited 26 home-based players for the team's camp scheduled to open on May 19.

The camp is to kick-start the team's preparations for next month's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.

The invited players are expected to report at the team's camp at Bolton Hotel Apartments in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) said the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in central north state of Kaduna, would play host to the Nigeria vs Chad Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The 16,000 capacity stadium has a natural turf which is in a very good shape now.

Kaduna, a populous multi-ethnic city, has been given the nod to host match due to its fans previous support to the national teams.

The last time the Eagles played in that stadium was a friendly against the Etalons of Burkina Faso in September 2013.

The match was played three days after a Super Eagles World Cup qualification victory over Malawi in southern city of Calabar. Endite
