Slovak, Czech army engineers trained for humanitarian, rescue operations

Armed Forces of Slovak Republic in cooperation with their Czech colleagues, are conducting training here for their engineer corps, since May 8.

The mission, Engineer Recuers 2015, is designed to train soldiers for humanitarian and rescue operations in civil areas, struck by floods.

Slovak and Czech soldiers have been training rescue operation in the Sered-located Vah trainign grounds.

The mission was to move machinery across rivers and rescue personnel and vehicles from under water.

"Cooperation of ground troops of Armed Forces of Slovak Republic and their Czech colleagues, is on a great level and we are able to continually develop our units," stated Brigade General of Slovak Armed Forces, Onderj Novosad, who was overlooking the training.

The multinational training will finish tomorrow, on May 14. The training is also conducted in Czech Republic. Endit
