Singapore Fashion Week returns to celebrate women designers

Singapore's premier fashion event Singapore Fashion Week (SFW) returns on Wednesday on Singapore's signature shopping area Orchard Road, featuring the world's most influential women designers.

This year, SFW celebrates women designers, with iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg and Victoria Beckham bringing their latest collections over the next five days. Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett as well as South Korean superstar Yoon Eun Hye also lend a touch of glamour to the mega-event.

"Claiming the iconic name Singapore Fashion Week comes with the responsibility to push Singapore Fashion even further; to develop Singapore's fashion industry, to create an environment where Singapore designers can learn from the best in fashion, and more importantly, to build an ecosystem of mentorship where Singapore designers, both established and emerging, can share their experience and nurture the next generation of designers," said Tjin Lee, Chairman of SFW.

"We're thrilled to be back this year with some of fashion's biggest names, Hollywood celebrities and influential fashion icons as we continue to be the only fashion week in the world that features established and emerging regional and homegrown designers alongside the world's most iconic names in fashion," said Lee.

This year's SFW will lasts until Sunday, with famous British designer Victoria Beckham as the closing show. Endi
