Up to 100 people were killed in Monday's Saudi-led coalition forces' intensified air bombings on missiles warehouse and arms depots in Yemen's capital Sanaa, medics said on Tuesday, hours before a planned five-day cease-fire for humanitarian purposes, which a government source said will happen with weak chance.

"The latest reports show that up to 100 people were killed while nearly 300 others injured due to Monday's massive blasts caused by the Saudi-led airstrikes on arms depots," directors of four major hospitals in Sanaa confirmed to Xinhua. (Yemen-Saudi Arabia-Bomb)

TRIPOLI -- Five Libyan army soldiers were killed and two others injured on Monday in clashes against the Islamist armed coalition Libya Dawn near the capital of Tripoli, said military sources.

The clashes took place in Assayad area, some 20 km west of Tripoli, where the Libyan army attempted to slowly progress toward the capital, an army officer said on condition of anonymity. (Libya-Clash)

NAIROBI -- The Kenyan government on Tuesday lifted temporary suspension of travellers from Liberia with immediate effect after the UN health agency declared the West African nation free from Ebola virus.

VIENNA -- Iran and six world major states resume a fresh round of talks on Tuesday here, trying to reach a historical deal by the June 30 deadline.

HAVANA -- Cuban President Raul Castro said Tuesday that negotiations with the United States to restore formal relationship "are going well" and "at our own pace," noting that they do not want to take any measure that would hurt the interest of the Cuban people.

Speaking to reporters at Havana's international airport after seeing off visiting French President Francois Hollande, who concluded a one-day visit to Cuba before heading to Haiti, Castro mentioned the progress of the talks between Havana and Washington that began in January after more than five decades of animosity.
