Seoul shares open higher

Seoul shares opened higher on Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 7. 1 points, or 0.34 percent, to trade at 2,103.87 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,091.05 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., up 4.75 won from Tuesday's close. Endi
