Philippine shares close 0.21 pct higher

Philippine shares closed 0.21 percent higher on Tuesday.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index increased by 16. 65 points to 7794.55. The all-share index went up by 6.62 points, or 0.15 percent, to 4494.10.

Trading volume reached 499.19 million shares worth 5.37 billion pesos (120.38 million U.S. dollars).

There were 93 gainers, 92 losers while 54 stocks closed flat. Endi
