Spanish stock market rallies 2.19 pct, closes at 11,424 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex 35 rose 2.19 percent on Friday to close at 11,424.70 points, up from the 11,180.30 points of Thursday.

Inditex shares led rises climbing 3.62 percent, followed by IAG, Iberdrola, Banco Popular and Banco Santander that rose 3.42 percent, 3.36 percent, 3.15 percent and 2.97 percent respectively.

The only two companies saw loss were Abertis A, which decreased 0.71 percent, followed by Endesa, which dipped 0.14 percent.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 112.40 points on Friday at closing time, climbing from the 106.7 points of Monday.

Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.682 percent, climbing slightly from the 1.512 percent of Monday.

The European Commission revised up its economic forecasts for Spain this week, predicting the economy would grow by 2.8 percent this year. Endit
