1st LD Writethru: 4 killed in small plane crash in U.S. city Atlanta

Xinhua, May 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

All the four people onboard a small plane were killed Friday when it crashed on a busy highway in Atlanta in the U.S. State of Georgia, local media reported.

The plane, a Piper PA-32, crashed into the Interstate 285 highway shortly after taking off from the DeKalb Peachtree Airport, the reports said.

DeKalb County Fire Department's spokesman Eric Jackson confirmed that all the four people onboard died in the crash. But he said he did not know any details about the identities of the pilot and passengers onboard and the cause of the crash.

The Interstate 285, an east-west highway, was shut down in both directions as authorities started an investigation into the incident. Endi
