French stock market index up 0.15 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight advance of 0.15 percent at 4,981.59 points on Wednesday, up 7.52 points.

The three companies that gained most on Wednesday were Alcatel-Lucent, up 3.58 percent, BNP Paribas, up 1.80 percent, and Alstom, up 1.67 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Wednesday were Solvay, down 3.69 percent, Unibail-Rodamco, down 2.64 percent, and Kering, down 2.54 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a large decrease of 2.12 percent at 4,974.07 points, down 107.9 points. Endit
