Death toll reaches 7,365 in Nepal's earthquake

Death toll of Nepal's April 25 earthquake has risen to 7,365 with the number of injured standing at 14,366, figures from the Ministry of Home Affairs showed on Monday.

Statistics released by the United Nations offices showed that some 600,000 houses across the nation have been damaged in the massive earthquake.

UN figures also showed that 8 million Nepalese people were affected by the disaster, among whom, at least 2 million need tents, water, food and medicines.

The country has a population of around 28 million.

The UN and other international organizations have appealed for 415 million U.S dollars to provide relief goods to people affected by the devastating earthquake. Endi
