Former head of HK, Macao affairs office dies

Lu Ping, former director of State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, died on Sunday in Beijing after an illness, according to a statement on the website of the office Monday. He was 88.

Lu was the head of the office when Hong Kong was returned to the Motherland on July 1, 1997. Endi
