Vietnam eyes 60-70 golds at 28th SEA Games

Xinhua, May 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnam will send nearly 500 athletes to compete in 28 of 36 events at the 28th SEA Games in June in Singapore, targeting 60 to 70 golds, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reported Monday.

Vietnam will, however, miss chances of bagging home around 30 more golds for wrestling, weightlifting, karatedo, chess, and women's football since the host has excluded these events from the competition.

Vietnamese track and field athletes are expected to win around 10-11 golds while they expected 10 golds from swimming.

The gymnastic team set a goal of eight golds. Endi
