Chelsea win English Premier League title

Xinhua, May 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chelsea won their first Premier League title in five years with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge here on Sunday.

The Blues have collected an unassailable lead over second placed Manchester City and secured the title with three games to go. They have 80 points, 15 points more than the defending champions.

Eden Hazard scored the lone goal in the 45th minute. His spot-kick was stopped by Julian Speroni in the Palace goal but the Belgian striker reacted the first to head home the rebound.

That gave Mourinho his third title as Chelsea manager, and the first of his second spell in charge. It is the club's fifth top-flight title and comes five years after their last and 60 years since their first. Endi
