Shanghai SIPG's held 1-1 by Hangzhou Greentown, still unbeaten in Chinese Super League

Xinhua, May 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Shanghai SIPG have extended their unbeaten record to eight games in this season's Chinese Super League after a 1-1 draw with Hangzhou Greentown on Sunday.

Although SIPG created many chances in the first half, Imed Louati gave Hangzhou a surprise lead in the 74th minute when the 22-year-old Tunisian rose high to head home from a freekick.

Jean Evrard Kouassi came off the bench to grab an equalizer for Shanghai in the 81th minute, also from a header. After Argentinean playmaker Dario Conca's long shot went wide before the final whistle, the league leaders had to accept a draw after two consecutive victories.

In the other game on Sunday, Teda's first goal on home soil didn't bring a victory for them.

The ninth round of CSL will start in next weekend. Endi
