Chinese Fang Bo reaches semis at table tennis worlds

Chinese player Fang Bo reached the semifinals of the men's singles at the world table tennis championships on Saturday.

The 23-year-old Fang overcame a worrying third set to beat Patrick Franziska from Germany 11-5, 11-9, 8-11, 11-5, 11-5 in the quarterfinals.

Fang's reward will be a semifinal clash against the winner of defending champion Zhang Jike and Japan's world number five Jun Mizutani. Endi
