Tokyo shares open lower on losses in U.S. market

Tokyo shares open lower on Friday following drops in the overnight U.S. market.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei was down 44.92 points, or 0. 23 percent, from Thursday at 19,475.09.
