Ai Fukuhara out of table tennis worlds

Xinhua, April 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

Japanese Ai Fukuhara made a shock second round exit from the world table tennis championships on Wednesday.

Hugely popular in China, the world No. 8 ranked Japanese had been cheered on by Chinese spectators throughout her 2-4 loss to Ukraine's Tetyana Bilenko

Bilenko played a solid defensive game and would switch to attacking only when chances came, winning the game 3-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, 11-3, 12-10.

"A lot of things were on my mind when I took to the court," said Fukuhara. "I lost to a chopper because I wasn't good enough." Endi
