"Furious 7" becomes China's biggest blockbuster

Street-racing thriller "Furious 7" has surpassed "Transformers 4" to become the most successful movie in Chinese cinemas after it raced ahead of its competitors for a third week.
Pulling in another 450 million yuan (about 72 million U.S. dollars) at the box office in the week ending April 26 brought the total cinema takings of the seventh film in the stunt-filled "Fast and Furious" franchise to 2.02 billion yuan after it opened on April 12.
"Transformers 4" grossed about 1.97 billion yuan in a month's running in China last summer.
Chinese romance "The Left Ear" was a respectable No. 2 in the week, taking 200.2 million yuan, China Film News reported on Wednesday. It debuted on April 24.
Another domestic romance "Ever Since We Love", which debuted on April 17, came in third, pulling in 64 million yuan in the week. Its total box office stood at 136 million yuan on April 26.
Fourth place went to animated American fantasy "Home", which earned about 50.9 million yuan in the week after opening on April 24.
Rounding out the top five was domestic action film "Wolf Warriors", which debuted April 2, with 30.7 million yuan in the week. The film has rung up 524.5 million yuan as of April 26. Endi
