Urgent: Obama says no excuse for Baltimore violence

U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday there is no excuse for that kind of violence that occurred in Baltimore, the largest city of U.S. State of Maryland, in the past days.

"Full transparency" is needed on the death of Freddie Gray, an American-African man who died in police custody a week ago in the city, Obama told a joint press conference with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The man's death had triggered week-long protests and developed into riots over the weekend. Endite
