Chinese shares close lower Tuesday

Chinese shares ended lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.13 percent, or 51.18 points, to finish at 4,476.22 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.69 percent, or 102.18 points, to close at 14,707.25 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, declined 2.17 percent, or 59.52 points, to end at 2,687.97 points. Endi
