Xinhua, April 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovak humanitarian organisation MAGNA said it will provide medical, psychological and social aid to those affected in Saturday's deadly earthquake in Nepal, particularly to children.

Director of Slovak humanitarian organisation MAGNA Denisa Augustinova said on Monday that the organization will send two four-member teams consisting of psychologists, social workers and therapists.

"We'll be providing aid at hospitals and provisional centres," said Augustinova, adding that at a later stage MAGNA will also set up specialised centres for children.

The 7.8-magnitude earthquake with an epicentre to the west of Kathmandu was the worst disaster of its kind in the Himalayan country in the past 80 years.

The total number of fatalities has risen to more than 3,200, while another 6,538 people have suffered injuries, said the Nepalese police on Monday. Endit
