UEFA Champions League trophies arrives in Berlin

The president of German Soccer Association (DFB) Wolfgang Niersbach handed over the Champions League trophies to Berlin mayor Michael Mueller at the "Rote Rathaus" here on Monday.

Berlin will host the UEFA Champions League final 2015 in the Olympia stadium on June 6 as well as the women's Champions League final in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn Sportpark on May 14.

UEFA president Michel Platini was actually designated to hand over the trophies but due to private reasons, DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach represented the UEFA at the handover ceremony.

Both trophies will be displayed at Berlin's famous "Rote Rathaus" from May 2 to 8. On Wednesday the Champions League trophies will be transported through Berlin to present it to the fans. Endi
