BMW Motorrad sales hit record high in Q1

BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle brand of German car producer BMW Group, reported here on Friday to have achieved the best quarterly sales figures in the first three months of the year.

The Bavarian producer sold 31,370 vehicles in the first quarter, an increase of 9.2 percent year on year. Alone in March, BMW Motorrad delivered 15,912 motorcycles and Maxi Scooters worldwide, rising by 4.8 percent compared to last March, according to BMW statistics.

"BMW Motorrad has started into the new 2015 motorcycle season with the best first quarterly sales of all time," said Heiner Faust, head of sales and marketing of BMW Motorrad.

"For the first time ever in the history of BMW Motorrad we have supplied more than 31,000 vehicles to our customers in the first three months which corresponds to a significant plus of 9.2 percent. We are reaching more and more customers all over the world with our highly emotional brand and our attractive, sporty bikes," he continued.

According to Faust, the company recorded growth in nearly all sales regions. Germany remains its strongest single market. Endit
