A massive power outage, triggered by malfunctioned electrical substations, affected 100,000 households in Macao on Wednesday, officials said.

The power outage, which occurred at 10:55 a.m. local time (0255 GMT), lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes and affected central and northern Macao peninsula including Zona Nova de Aterros do Porto Exterior, Horta e Costa and Central districts as well as the Hengqin campus of the University of Macao. RAWALPINDI -- Pakistan on Wednesday successfully conducted training launch of a missile system that can carry nuclear warheads up to 1,300 km, the military said.

The launch of Ghauri Missile System was conducted by a Strategic Missile Group of the Army Strategic Forces Command that was aimed at testing the operational and technical readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command, a military statement said. ( Pakistan-Missle Test)

HANOI -- Vietnam and France agreed here Wednesday on necessity of dealing with barriers in trade exchanges and market access through bilateral dialogues.

KABUL -- The Chinese Embassy to Afghanistan donated teaching and learning equipment to the Confucius Institute of Kabul University on Wednesday, aiming at further promoting Chinese teaching and learning in the country.

During the handover ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Deng Xijun conveyed his congratulations to the students of Confucius Institute on the newly completed teaching building which was also donated by the Chinese government. (China-Afghanistan)

YANGON -- A total of 10 people were killed and two others injured as a truck overturned and fell off a hillside in southwestern Myanmar's Ayeyawaddy delta region, official media the Mirror reported Wednesday.

DHAKA -- At least 10 people were killed in a house collapse in Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Wednesday, fire service officials confirmed.

Enayet Hossain, on-duty officer of fire service told Xinhua that so far 10 bodies were found in the rubble of the two stories tin-shed house collapse in Malibagh Chowdhury para housing district in the capital. (Bangladesh-House Collapse)
