Xinhua, April 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

A China Southern Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Beijing after a passenger fell ill.

The male passenger, Li, started to convulse and vomit two hours in to the flight, which had left Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, airline sources said.

Flight CZ6316, which was bound for Shenyang in northeast China's Liaoning Province, requested an emergency landing with Beijing Capital International Airport so Li could be admitted to hospital.

Captain Zhang Jun said the plane landed 32 minutes after Li's symptoms began.

The ambulance was waiting when the plane landed, Zhang said.

The flight departed continued on to Shenyang, arriving one hour and 20 minutes behind schedule. Endi
