Xinhua, April 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

A two-year-old child died and three others fell ill due to food poisoning in the eastern Indian state of Bihar on Wednesday, a senior police official said.

"The incident happened after the four children consumed food at Jaghibishanpur village in the state's Lakhisarai district in the morning. They were all rushed to a government hospital after they started vomiting and complained of abdominal pain," he said on condition of anonymity.

While the two-year-old girl died at the hospital, the condition of one of the three other children is said to be serious, the official said.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added. Endi
