Norwegian Air cancels almost all flights to Finland

Xinhua, April 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Norwegian Air Shuttle, Europe's third biggest budget airline, has canceled almost all its flights serving Finland on Tuesday, as Finnish airport workers went on strike.

The cancellation includes 13 flights from Helsinki and Oulu in Finland to Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Ground handling workers in Helsinki and Oulu airports announced a two-day walkout on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the Finnish Aviation Union and the Finnish Cabin Crew Union failed to reach an agreement with the National Conciliator on a labor dispute.

In addition to flight cancellations and delays, the labor action is also expected to seriously hamper airport baggage services during the two days.

However, the strike will not affect Finnair, Flybe and Blue1 flights, according to local media. Endit
