47 arrested for trafficking in drugs in SW China

Xinhua, April 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese police have cracked a drug trafficking ring operating across several provinces.

Police in Guiyang, capital city of southwest China's Guizhou Province, announced on Tuesday that they had arrested all 47 members of the ring and confiscated 4.9 kilograms of drugs.

In March 2014, a man surnamed Zhou from Sichuan Province caught the attention of police for his role in drug trade in Guiyang. Police tracked down the gang and uncovered the entire operation. Investigations found they had been purchasing drugs from the southern Guangdong Province to sell in Guizhou and the central Hunan Province.

Members of the group were captured towards the end of the year, police said. Endi
