China stresses work safety supervision

Xinhua, April 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

The State Council on Monday issued a notice on work safety supervision to the central government's departments and local governments.

More efforts should be made to improve laws on safe production and accelerate legislation on mine safety, fire fighting, road safety, marine traffic safety and railway safety, the notice said.

Safe production standards should be mapped out efficiently, it said.

The accountability system for work safety should be followed according to the law, and accidents must be investigated and dealt with more strictly, it said.

Local governments must include safe production and work-related illness into their economic and social development plans, the notice said. Endi
