German writer Guenter Grass dies at 87

German writer and Nobel Prize winner Guenter Grass died on Monday, confirmed German publisher Steidl Verlag to media.

Grass died in Monday morning at the age of 87 years in a hospital in the German city of Luebeck, according to N-TV reports.

Guenter Grass was best known for his novel, The Tin Drum. He had received dozens of international awards. In 1999, he was awarded the highest literary honour: the Nobel Prize in Literature. Endi
