2 Chinese killed in New Zealand road crash

Xinhua, April 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two young Chinese women have been killed in a road crash south of Auckland, New Zealand Police announced Monday.

The police statement did not specify where in China the women came from.

They were killed on Saturday while traveling aboard a car with another person who remained in hospital in a critical condition.

Their vehicle hit another car, which appeared to have crossed the center line when it was travelling in the opposite direction near the rural area of Karaka, said the police statement.

The driver of the other vehicle remained in hospital with serious injuries and the police investigation is continuing.

Everyone involved in the two car crash was wearing seatbelts, said the police. Endi
