Singapore stocks close 0.35 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 12.08 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 3,472.38.

A total of 2.70 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 31 billion Singapore dollars (963.2 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 320 to 139, while 478 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 0.38 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3, 460.30 on Thursday. Endi
