Aussie construction industry shows modest growth on positive home building

Home building has driven modest growth in the Australian construction industry but engineering construction contracted.

The Australian Housing Industry Association Performance of Construction Index grew 6.2 points in March.

It was positive news in house and apartment building after three months of the sector shrinking.

But construction in the engineering sector was in the red, mainly due to the declining mining industry. Endi
