Spain's exports prices increased by 0.4 percent in February compared with a year earlier, according to the general index of export prices for industrial products published Tuesday.
This was the first rise in prices since February 2013 after two years of falls, according to Spain's Statistical Office (INE). It highlighted that the sectors that contributed the most to the rise were energy, non-durable consumer goods and intermediate goods.
The energy sector rate increased more than 10 points from February 2014 to this year due to a rise in the prices of oil refining products. The non-durable consumer goods rate increased by 0.9 percent up to 1.9 percent while intermediate goods rate increased by 0.5 percent up to 0.1 percent.
The INE said prices of imports of industrial products fell by 5.5 percent in February in comparison with the same month a year earlier.
It also reported that prices of exports increased 0.1 percent on a month-to-month basis after four consecutive months of falls, while those of imports rose by 0.9 percent. Endit
