China-Russia ties "a success practice for shaping new int'l relations": Chinese FM

Xinhua, April 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

Visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday hailed the ties between China and Russia as a successful practice at shaping a new type of international relations that feature win-win cooperation.

The outstanding characteristics of China-Russia relations, said Wang, are non-alignment, non-confrontational, not directed against any third party and not judging each other by ideological differences.

"What the two sides seek for and attach great importance to are the principle of mutual respect and support, and common development through mutually beneficial cooperation," the Chinese minister told the press here after meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

"Under the new circumstances, China and Russia are undertaking a successful practice at shaping a new type of international relations centering around cooperation and win-win, which serves as useful experiences for exchanges among major countries, and is bound to offer broad prospects," the foreign minister added.

Wang is paying an official visit to Russia from Monday to Wednesday at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Endite
