Xinhua, April 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo shares ended lower Monday as market sentiment here was punched by a disappointing U.S. employment report that triggered concerns of a slowdown in the U.S. economy.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 37.10 points, or 0.19 percent, from Friday at 19,397.98.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.45 points, or 0.22 percent, at 1, 560.71.

Decliners were led by glass and ceramics, shipping and insurance issues.

The turnover was about 1,677.6 billion yen (about 14.10 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
