A British citizen suspected of having contact with radical Islamic movements has been arrested in Finland and will be likely deported again, media reports said on Sunday.
Awat Hamasalih, a British with Turkish background, was expelled from Finland in December last year and got a 15-year-entry ban. But he entered again and was arrested in Turku, southwestern Finland.
Senior police inspector Stefan Sundqvist told newspaper Abo Underrattelser that there were grounds to deport the man even though his final appeal against the previous removal submitted to the Highest Court of Administration was still awaiting an outcome.
Details of the case have been declared secret by the Finnish security police. A local court confirmed on Thursday to keep Hamasalih detained until the new deportation. Endi
