Greek Athenian Brewery launches Heineken beer exports to China, Italy

Xinhua, April 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Athenian Brewery, one of Greece's most important beer producers and traders, and its parent company Heineken, the Dutch giant in beer production worldwide, announced on Thursday in Athens the launch of exports of Heineken beer products to China and Italy.

Athenian Brewery will produce this year 16 million litres of Heineken beer at the firm's plant at the city port of Patras in western Greece. The export gates will be Patras for exports to Italy and Piraeus port for exports to China.

Athenian Brewery managers expected that the new project could help generate about 20 million euros in total revenues from exports in 2015.

Since the start of the debt crisis the Greek beer producing company has posted a sale of 122 million euros to 26 countries across the globe. Endit
