China stocks open higher Thursday

Chinese stocks opened higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 17.4 points, or 0.48 percent, to open at 3,827.69.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 13,486.9, up 0.69 percent.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 29.85 points, or 1.24 percent to open at 2,434.76 points. Endi
