Xinhua, April 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Large-scale air force military exercises that involve more than 100 aircraft and helicopters are under way in Russia's Far East, a military spokesman said Wednesday.

The maneuvers, aimed at achieving air superiority, are part of massive command-staff exercises on guiding the task forces of aviation and air defense district air force units deployed in Primorsky Kray, Khabarovsk, Zabaykalsky Kray and Kamchatka, said Col. Alexander Gordeyev, head of the Eastern Military District's press service.

The drills involve crews and pilots of Su-35, Su-30 and Su-27 fighters practising air-to-air operations and launches of guided missiles and firing air guns at different shooting ranges, Gordeyev said. Endi
