Bayern Munich's Austrian international David Alaba will be sidelined for seven weeks with a knee ligament injury, the Bundesliga leaders announced on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old versatile player sustained the injury in his left knee during Austria's friendly draw with Bosnia Herzegovina on Tuesday.

"David Alaba has suffered a medial collateral ligament tear in his

left knee," said Bayern on Tweet. "14 days in a cast and then back in

around 7 weeks."

Alaba has played 19 league matches with two goals this season for Bayern, which were 10 points ahead on top of the league table. Endi
