More than 500 Chinese evacuees from conflict-ridden Yemen have arrived at the Djibouti port as the situation continues to deteriorate in Yemen.

A People's Liberation Army Navy fleet, which had been carrying out escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters, was dispatched for the evacuation on Sunday, according to China's Ministry of National Defense. (Djibouti-China-Evacuation)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Ministry denied that the Islamic republic had helped the Yemeni Shiite militants with arms, Press TV reported on Tuesday.

"Claims about the dispatch of weapons from the Islamic republic of Iran to Yemen are completely fabricated and sheer lies," Iran's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham was quoted as saying. (Iran-Yemen-Shiite Militants)

WASHINGTON -- Authorities said Monday one person was dead and two others were injuried in a gunfire exchange at the gate of the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) headquarters at Fort Meade in Maryland, local media reported.

According to NBC news, a NSA guard reportedly got into quarrel with two men disguised as women who were trying to enter the facility Monday morning and they exchange fire at around 9:30 EDT (1330 GMT). (U.S.-NSA-Shooting)

TASHKENT -- Preliminary results showed that incumbent Uzbek President Islam Karimov has won over 90 percent of the votes in the country's presidential election, the Uzbek central election commission announced on Monday.

The commission said the preliminary tally indicates that Karimov has won over 17 million votes, but final results will be announced in 10 days.

According to the Uzbek law, a presidential candidate needs over 50 percent of the valid votes to become a president. (Uzbekistan-Election) Endi
