Xinhua, March 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

The parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Tuesday approved the formation of Council of Ministers, or state government, led by Denis Zvizdic, six months after the general election.

Denis Zvizdic, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, have been confirmed in February. He is a senior member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) which won the most votes during the general election in October 2014.

Vjekoslav Bevanda, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers, took the position of Minister of Finance and Treasury, while Marina Pendes became the Defense Minister. Meanwhile, Igor Crnadak was confirmed as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Adil Osmanovic (SDA) as Minister of Civil Affairs.

The Council of Ministers is a weak coalition formed by major parties after the elections. The two entities, the Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, control most of the budget of the Balkan country with their own parliaments and governments. Endit
