Chinese, Brazilian FMs discuss bilateral cooperation over phone

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks Saturday over phone with his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira on bilateral cooperation.

During their telephone conversation, Vieira said that Brazil attaches great importance to its strategic cooperation with China and is willing to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as a founding member.

And Brazil stands ready to conduct close cooperation with China in international financial area, he said.

Wang, for his part, said that China welcomes Brazil's decision to join the AIIB as a founding member.

The decision will further cement China-Brazil strategic partnership and China is willing to promote cooperation with Brazil in the international financial area, Wang said. Endi
