Xinhua, March 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Saudi Arabia resumed on Friday all flights to airports in the southern region except for Abha Airport that will remain closed until further notice, local media reported on Friday.

An official from the General Organization of the Saudi Airline told the online Elaf paper that the decision was taken in coordination with the Saudi Civil Aviation.

Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday temporary suspension of local and international flights to airports in the southern region of the country.

The suspension covered King Abdullah airport in Jizan and other airports in Abha, Wadi Al Dawasir, Sharurah and Najran from the Dawn of Thursday.

Early Thursday, Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes against the Houthi group in Yemen to support legitimate President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Ten countries, including five GCC countries, are involved in the air raids. Endit
