Xinhua, March 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

French pair Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron won ice dance title at the figure skating world championships on Friday.

The pair rebounded strong to top the podium after finishing fourth in the opening short program with a passion-filled free dance performance, scoring 112.34 points in the final to collect 184.28 overall.

The young pair, who finished only 13th in last year's worlds, has won the European championships, two Grand Prix events and the world title now since they moved up to the senior level last year.

American pair Madison Chock/Evan Bates took the silver medal with a score of 106.87 and 181.34 overall.

The Canadians Kaitlyn Weaver/Andrew Poje, who were regarded as pre-tournament favorites for winning at both the Grand Prix and Four Continents championships in Seoul last month, settled with bronze with 106.74 points and 179.42 overall. Endi
