German budget airline Germanwings unveiled Wednesday more details about nationalities of the victims of the flight 4U9525 that crashed Tuesday in French Alps.
Addressing a press conference in German city of Cologne, where the headquarters of Germanwings are located, the company's CEO Thomas Winkelmann confirmed that 72 Germans and 35 Spanish citizens were onboard the ill-fated jet, citing information updated as of 11:00 local time (1000 GMT).
In addition, there were also victims from Britain, the Netherlands, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Denmark, Belgium, Israel, Australia, Argentina, Iran, Venezuela and the United States, Winkelmann said. (Germany-Germanwings)

ABUJA -- At least 75 people were slaughtered in one of Boko Haram's recent attacks in Gwoza town of Nigeria's northeastern state of Borno, a survivor told Xinhua on Wednesday.
Many old and young women were also seized by the Boko Haram militants, who have been in control of the Nigeria-Cameroon border community for some six months, said the survivor named Mairo Mohammad. (Nigeria-Security)

GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- A total of 21 Taliban militants including their key commander Mullah Nurullah have been killed and eight others injured in Ghazni province with Ghazni city as its capital 125 km south of Kabul on Wednesday, deputy to provincial police chief Assadullah Insafi said.
"The security forces launched cleanup operations in Shirwali area of Andar district early Wednesday morning and till afternoon 21 militants including their commander Mullah Nurullah had been killed and eight others injured," Insafi told reporters. (Afghanistan-Taliban-Killing)

KABUL -- A suicide bombing that rocked Kabul city on Wednesday killed six people and injured 31 others, Kabul Police Chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi said.
