Xinhua, March 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two civilians were killed and two others injured as an explosive device went off in the eastern Afghan province of Khost Sunday night, deputy to provincial police chief Mohammad Yaqub said Monday. "A bomb blast planted by militants outside a mosque in the provincial capital of Khost city Sunday night claimed the lives of two persons, including a prayer leader, and injured two others," Yaqub told reporters.

The official blamed the enemies of peace, a reference to the armed Taliban, for staging the deadly attack. However, the Taliban has yet to claim responsibility.
