Singapore PM thanks residents for support of Lee Kuan Yew

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday afternoon visited Tanjong Pagar Community Club, where his father, the former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew has served as a Member of Parliament for 50 years, to thank local residents for their support.

A "get well" corner has been set up late Friday for residents to leave their messages for Lee Kuan Yew, whose condition has worsened, according to the latest announcement from Prime Minister 's Office (PMO). Lee Hsien Loong also wrote on a banner, saying " Dear Papa, hope you get better."

Lee didn't spoke to the public, but thanked them for their support.

Over hundreds of residents have also left their cards or flowers in the designated area in Singapore General Hospital, where Lee Kuan Yew is receiving treatment, to pray for Singapore's founding father. Endi
