LME base metals rise on Friday

The base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed higher on Friday.

The U.S. dollar edged lower in Friday's trading, boosting metal prices.

The three-month unofficial copper price increased 237 U.S. dollars, or 4.06 percent, to 6,076 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 24.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.38 percent, to 1,802.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price increased 57 U.S. dollars, or 3.34 percent, to 1,763 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 47 U.S. dollars, or 2.34 percent, to 2,059 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 452.5 U.S. dollars, or 3.30 percent, to 14,180 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price increased 362.5 U.S. dollars, or 2.15 percent, to 17,237.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
